The students of the Department of Classical Languages represent a good blend of clergy and laymen, males and females, the young and the mature.

 


Student Societies


The Indological Society is a Student Society formed mainly by the students reading Sanskrit in the Department of Classical Languages. It organizes annual fieldtrips, seminars and other student activities. It is an open Society which any interested student may join.



Prospective Students

If you are willing to enroll in any of the the Postgraduate Programs of the Department, please contact the PGIHS of the University of Peradeniya. Since the internal Undergraduate Programs are administered by the Course Unit Office of the Faculty, your first point of contact should be them. Distant Learning students who wish read for an undergraduate degree may contact the Center for Distant and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Peradeniya for further information and the application procedure.
