Biography:
  • Prof. M.D. Nelson is an  Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and conducts lectures and research in Economic Geography, Industrial Geography, Regional Development and Planning Strategies in Sri Lanka.He had his primary and secondary education from Ampitiya Collage in Kandy.  He Obtained his B.A from the University of Ceylon in Sri Lanka in 1974 and M.Sc.from the Asian Institute of Technology,Thailand, in 1979. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geography from University of Peradeniya in 1996.
