Biography:
Kulatunga Mudiyanselage Rohitha Dasanayaka Senior Lecturer in History had his primary and secondary education at Vidiyartha College in Kandy before completing an honours degree in History at the University of Peradeniya.  He subsequently obtained his M.S.Sc. in Kalaniya and Ph.D. in India.  He is a prolific writer of scholarly books and articles on a variety of subjects of academic interest. His Publications dealing with early and medieval South Asian history and maritime activities in the Indian Ocean have been well received in knowledgeable circles
