PHY 203 – Philosophy of Immanuel Kant


Kant tried to make a grand synthesis of the two main traditions in modern western   philosophy, viz: Empiricism and Rationalism. 

The course aims at introducing the student to the elements of this vibrant philosophy which, also has similarities with Buddhist thought.

His theory of knowledge

Critique of metaphysics

Relationship between appearance and reality

Kant’s unique system of morality
