Pre-requisite - PSY 101, PSY  208

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive study of personality and mental disorders emphasising their etiological, pathogenic, and semiological dimension.

 

Course Content;

The historical background of Abnormal Psychology, Theoretical perspectives on maladaptive behaviour, Concepts of normality and abnormality, Life events, social support and coping strategies, Clinical approach , Interest and limits of classifications , Personality disorders, Mood disorders.
