Course Summery

This course aims to equip students with essential ICT skills needed to thrive in an academic and professional environment. Students will gain hands-on experience with various software tools and concepts, fostering their ability to perform tasks efficiently using digital technology. The course covers fundamental topics including document processing, presentations, spreadsheets, basic networking, web design, and concludes with a final exam and practical exam to assess their knowledge.

Learn Basic ICT Skills

This lecture provides an introduction to identifying and analyzing the technological needs within an organization or academic setting. Students will learn how to assess ICT requirements, evaluate current systems, and recommend improvements based on user needs.

Students will gain practical knowledge of MS Word, focusing on document creation, formatting, and editing. Topics include styles, templates, advanced formatting options, and document collaboration features.

This lecture introduces students to creating effective and visually appealing presentations using MS PowerPoint. Key topics include slide design, transitions, animations, and integrating multimedia elements to enhance presentations.

This session covers the basics of spreadsheets in MS Excel, including data entry, formulas, and functions. Students will also learn to analyze data using charts, pivot tables, and advanced functions to manage and interpret large datasets.

This lecture explores the fundamentals of computer networking, including the types of networks, hardware, and protocols involved in the communication between devices. Students will gain an understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, routers, and switches.

Students will learn the basics of web development using HTML for structuring content and CSS for styling. This session covers essential elements, tags, and attributes in HTML, along with CSS properties to enhance the visual appeal of web pages.

The final exam will evaluate students' overall understanding of the ICT concepts and practical skills covered in the course. It will consist of multiple-choice questions, short answers, and problem-solving scenarios based on the course content.

In the practical exam, students will be tested on their ability to apply the skills learned throughout the course. They will perform tasks in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic web development (HTML/CSS), demonstrating their proficiency in using these tools to solve real-world problems.
