Objective of the Congress

  • To Provide a Platform for Scholarly Dialogue: Facilitate global discussions between historians and researchers on current historical scholarship and future directions of the discipline.
  • To Enhance Collaboration: Promote collaboration between scholars from Sri Lanka, India, and other international participants, fostering academic partnerships and cross-border intellectual engagement.
  • To Explore New Methodologies: Introduce and explore new methodologies and technologies in historical research, with a particular emphasis on digital history and interdisciplinary approaches.
  • To Bridge Past and Present: Examine the relevance of historical study in the modern world, fostering an understanding of how historical insights can address contemporary issues such as globalization, social justice, and cultural preservation.
