On 8th September 2024, academic staff from the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya, participated in the judging of a Dhamma School Competition, aimed at encouraging Buddhist learning and expression among school students.

The competition included categories such as speech, essay writing, chanting, art, and drama, all centered on core Buddhist teachings and values. The department’s role in the judging process ensured academic rigor and fairness, while also promoting youth engagement with the Dhamma in creative and meaningful ways.
