The Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya, warmly welcomed the New Year with a meaningful New Year Celebration held on 1st January 2025.

The event began with a blessing ceremony featuring traditional Buddhist rituals, invoking peace, wisdom, and well-being for the year ahead. Academic staff and students gathered to share good wishes, reflect on the past year, and express hopes for academic and personal growth in 2025.
