Prof. A.D.P. Kalansuriya Commemorative Lecture: Honoring a Scholarly Legacy
On February 22, 2024, the Department of Philosophy hosted the *Prof. A.D.P. Kalansuriya Commemorative Lecture*, marking the 10th anniversary of his passing. This special event celebrated the intellectual legacy of Prof. A.D.P. Kalansuriya, a prominent figure whose contributions continue to inspire the department.
The lecture, titled *"Phenomenology of Religion"*, was delivered by Senior Lecturer Samantha Ilangakoon, whose expertise provided a profound analysis of religious experience from a phenomenological perspective. The session explored key themes in the study of religion, offering attendees a deeper understanding of how phenomenology can illuminate the complexities of religious belief and experience.
The event brought together students, faculty, and scholars from various disciplines to honor Prof. Kalansuriya’s academic contributions.
