The Department of Geography is centrally located in the University of Peradeniya, in close proximity to the Main Library, Main Administrative Complex, Arts Theater, University Gymnasium, Residential Halls and the Student Centre. The Department has its own lecture theatres equipped with the necessary teaching aids, a departmental library, laboratories for soil science and geology, a weather station for manual and automatic climatological measurements, the required material and equipment for Cartography and Surveying and an advanced GIS and Remote Sensing laboratory with computers and free internet access to all students.
