About Me

Academic career: I have gained my primary studies in my village, after that I continued my secondary studies at Al Hamiya Arabic College, Kalmunai, and Eastern province of Sri Lanka. While I was at the Arabic College, I have successfully completed Ordinary Level, Advanced Level and Al - Alim part one and part two examinations which are conducted by the Department of Examinations, Ministry of Education, in Sri Lanka. I have completed Bachelors of Arts specialized in Arabic Language and passed in Second class upper Division in the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I did my Masters in Arabic Language and Literature and passed in First class at the University of DharulUloomNadwatulUlama which is at Lucknow, in India. And also I did my Master of Arts in the field of Islamic Civilization at the University of Peradeniya, in Sri Lanka. I have completed the Doctorate (PhD) programme in Arabic Semantics at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics and awarded the Excellent Award 2012 for Ph.D. from University of Malaya, in Malaysia. University of Peradeniya recognized my ability and my academic skill; they have appointed me as a full time and Permanent Lecturer from 19th July 2006 to the present date at the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Peradeniya, in Sri Lanka. And I have been lectured as a visiting lecturer, in the Academic year of 2003 and 2004 respectively, at the Eastern University of Sri Lanka. Presently I am contributing as an Internal and an External Examiner for the Centre of Distance and Continuing Education, University of Peradeniya and also I have appointed as Supervisor and an Invigilator for both the Examinations. I have earned the Certificate of Bhasa Malaysia Course conducted by the University of Malaya, Malaysia on 5th May 2009. Certificate of Accomplishment for Advanced English Language Skills, English Language Centre, Australian College of Business and Technology, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Certificate of Core Course Examination in Methodology, Research Techniques & Writing Skills 2003 – 2004. Certificate of Foundation English Course for the Degree Programme of the University of Peradeniya, 15th July 2003.
