Shantha Jayakumara is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and conducts lectures and research in the spectrum of Social, Development and Economic Geography fields. He completed primary and secondary education from Miriswatta Maha Vidyalaya at Dodangoda, B.A honours degree in geography from the University of Peradeniya and M.Phil from NTNU Trondheim, Norway. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Human Geography.
