Ms. Chetana Rukshani Karunatilaka is an academic attached to the Department of Law at the University of Peradeniya. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in Law with second class honours (upper division) from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo and she is also an Attorney-at- Law. She had worked as a legal practitioner in civil litigation for more than two years, where she obtained firsthand experience of court work. She completed her postgraduate studies of LLM in Global Business Law (with Distinction) at the La Trobe University, Australia in 2015, before joining the Department of Law. She was selected as the scholar-representative of Sri Lanka at the 26th Annual Conference of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) 2016 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ms. Karunatilaka is the Undergraduate Dissertations Coordinator of the Department of Law. She is interested in contributing towards the growth of law and justice of the country by conducting proactive legal research. Ms. Karunatilaka’s vision is to enhance the legal knowledge, professional skills and attitudes of future legal professionals
