The second Mentoring Programme for Newly Recruited Academics 2022, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya was held successfully on the 11th November 2022 at the Faculty Seminar Room. The programme was based on the topic Academic and Financial Administration, and was held under the subject expertise of Senior Professor D. K. N.G. Pushpakumara; the Director of the Academic Affairs Division, and Professor O. G. Dayarathna Banda; the former Dean of Faculty of Arts. The Acting Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Kumari Thoradeniya and the members of the Committee for Establishing a Mentoring Programme for Newly Recruited Academics joined the programme as invitees.
The first Mentoring Programme for Newly Recruited Academics 2022, organized by the Internal quality Assurance Cell, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya was held successfully on the 18th of August 2022 at the Faculty Seminar Room, from 8.45 am to 12.30 pm. The Dean, Faculty of Arts; Dr. Prabath Ekanayake, graced the programme as the chief guest. It was held under three sessions; the first and the second sessions were held under the subject expertise of Prof. Prasad Sethunga and Prof. Liyanage Amarakeerthi on the topic; The Role of Academics in the 21st Century and the third session was conducted by Prof. Deepika Udagama on the topic; University Act, Academic Freedom and University Autonomy.
