PHY 203 - Philosophy of Immanuel Kant

Kant tried to make a grand synthesis of the two main traditions in modern western philosophy, viz: Empiricism and Rationalism.
The course aims at introducing the student to the elements of this vibrant philosophy which, also has similarities with Buddhist thought.

  • His theory of knowledge
  • Critique of metaphysics
  • Relationship between appearance and reality
  • Kant’s unique system of morality
