The Contemporary Tamil Workshop, graced by renowned personalities from Tamil Nadu, including publisher Mr. Kalachuvadu Kannan, researcher Mr. A. Ra. Venkatasalapathy, writer Perumal Murugan, and Musician Dr. T.M. Krishna, was held on June 24, 2024, at the Viththiyananthan Auditorium of the Department of Tamil, University of Peradeniya. The event took place under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Prof. S. Pirashanthan, and it is noteworthy that former Head of the Department, Prof. M. A. Nuhman, also participated and added distinction to the occasion.
