About Me

Dr. Kumari Thoradeniya is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Sociology, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She earned her BA (Hons.) in Sociology from the University of Peradeniya in 1998 and M.A. in Sociology, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka (2001). Subsequently, she obtained her PhD in Peace and Development Research from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Title of the Thesis: A Comparative Study of Psycho-social Rehabilitation Programmes for War-Affected Children in War-Torn Sri Lanka, 2004-2006.
