The Web Designing Course was specially designed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in website design and development. One of the unique features of the program was its inclusiveness, as it attracted both internal and external participants. The course also benefited several academic staff members, including representatives from each department within the Faculty of Arts, who participated in the program to enhance their digital competencies and acquire the skills necessary to maintain and manage their departmental websites, thereby strengthening the Faculty's digital presence and communication efforts. Their participation reflected the department's dedication to supporting young learners and encouraging interest in technology related careers.

Throughout the course, participants were introduced to comprehensive concepts of web design and development, including website architecture, responsive design, user friendly interfaces, content management, and modern web development practices. In addition to website creation, the program explored key aspects of digital marketing and online promotion, enabling participants to understand how websites can be strategically marketed to reach wider audiences. Topics such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, online branding, and content strategy were discussed to help participants maximize the visibility and effectiveness of their websites. The practical nature of the course enabled participants to develop real world skills that could be applied in academic, professional, and entrepreneurial settings, while also preparing them to create, manage, and promote successful online platforms.

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants. The event was graced by Dr. Prabath Ekanayaka, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, as the Chief Guest, and was also attended by the Heads of Departments of the Faculty of Arts, whose presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the Faculty's commitment to fostering digital literacy and skill development.
