Psycho soiree is the very first project, which is undergoing the newly appointed board members in term 2024/25. That event is a warm and vibrant welcome for the 21st batch, and was held on the 21st of October at the Department of Psychology. It was an evening filled with laughter, music, and dancing, bringing together the new faces and introducing them to the dynamic psychology community.
The Psychology Society in collaboration with the Sobha Society, carried out the project “Leafly Legacy” on October 25th at the department premises.This tree-planting campaign, held around the new Psychology Department building,marks the beginning of a future lush green space.
Mehndi Stall marked the very first fundraising activity organized by the Psychology Society under its current term. This vibrant and creative initiative not only showcased the artistic talents of the members but also served as a meaningful start to the society’s fundraising efforts, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across the university.
Elle Match – Battle for the Mental Wellbeing, organized by the Psychology Society of the University of Peradeniya, was a unique and engaging event aimed at promoting mental health awareness through sport. By combining the spirit of teamwork with the importance of psychological resilience, the event created a space where students could refresh their minds, build connections, and advocate for mental wellbeing in a fun and active way.
"Gratitude X-mas," organized by the Psychology Society of the University of Peradeniya, was a heartwarming celebration that embraced the true spirit of the season—gratitude, kindness, and togetherness. The event created a cozy and joyful atmosphere, allowing participants to reflect on the year, appreciate one another, and spread holiday cheer. Through meaningful activities and thoughtful exchanges, Gratitude X-mas beautifully highlighted the importance of emotional connection and appreciation within the university community.
The T-shirt Project, organized by the Psychology Society of the University of Peradeniya, was launched as a creative initiative aimed at raising funds for the society’s future activities. Through the sale of uniquely designed T-shirts, the project not only helped generate financial support but also promoted a sense of unity and identity among students.

This project provides a valuable platform for students to express their thoughts, ideas, and psychological insights through writing, art, and design. By contributing to the magazine, members not only sharpen their communication and critical thinking skills but also engage in meaningful exploration of psychological themes, making it a vibrant reflection of student talent and passion.
"Symphony of Love," organized by the Psychology Society of the University of Peradeniya, is a meaningful initiative aimed at enhancing members' awareness and understanding of relationships. This project serves as an effective platform for members to share and address their personal concerns anonymously, creating a safe and supportive space for emotional growth and problem-solving.
