Submission of original manuscripts are accepted for the journal that they have not been published, submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere. Manuscript should be sent both MS Word and PDF format under the submission guidelines to the weerakoonupali@arts.pdn.ac.lk or editor - in Chief, Samaja Vimasuma Journal Department of Sociology University of Peradeniya within the given time duration.

“Samaja Vimasuma” journal accepts original contributions focusing on sociological phenomena from Social Sciences and Humanities in general and Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work in particularly. Academic contributions from other disciplines are considered for publication if they have adopted a sociological approach in the analysis of theoretical and empirical content of sociological significance. Articles, book reviews, translations, case studies and other form of scholarly works from sociological and social work perspectives are accepted to publish.
Length of article- The length of the paper should not exceed 10000 words including the abstract tables, figures and list of references.

Font: FM Abaya, font size 12
Line space: 1.5
Structure: introduction, body of the article, conclusion, list of reference
Book reviews, literature reviews, research based articles are accepted in publication
Referencing style: APA
Title page: Title page should contain the title, name of author/s, affiliation/s acknowledgements (if applicable), contact details.
The manuscript will be assessed by the editor and two referees who are closely related to the field of social sciences. Then the reviewer’s comments will be informed and the author must send a revised version of manuscript to the editorial board as suggested by the deadline. Lastly, the editor gives final acceptance.
Minimum 25 days from the date of receipt of manuscript.
