The Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Arts successfully organized a workshop titled "Application of Generative AI for Academic and Research Purposes" on 7th August 2025 at Computer Lab 3. The session was conducted by Prof. Sakunthala Yatigammana, a leading expert in the field. The workshop focused on the practical applications of Generative AI in academic and research contexts, providing Heads of Departments with valuable insights and hands-on experience with emerging AI tools. This timely initiative highlighted the transformative role of AI in higher education and underscored the department’s commitment to promoting digital innovation and academic excellence.
