   University of Miyazaki Scholarship Program (Japan)

2nd year and 3rd year undergraduates of the Faculty of Arts, who are interested in applying for the above program can submit their application form together with additional information to the Office of the Dean on or before 31st March 2026.

Documents Required for Application
  • Application form
  • Academic transcript
  • Language Proficiency test results - JLPT N2/JLPT N3 or higher
  • A copy of passport

Note: All of the classes of Japanese Languages and Culture (Basic Education) and most classes of Faculty of Education are conducted in Japanese. A very few classes of Faculty of Education are conducted in English.

   Arts Faculty Students Union Election - 2026

  1. Nominations will be received by me between 1.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m on 27th March 2026 from the registered students of the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya for the election of office-bearers to the Arts Faculty Students' Union for the Academic Year 2025/2026.The list of eligible students is displayed on the Arts Faculty web page www.arts.pdn.ac.lk
  2. Nomination Papers may be obtained from the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts by producing the Students Record Book/Student Identity Card from 10.00 a.m. on 02nd February 2026 to 12.00 p.m. on 27th March 2026.
  3. The duly completed nomination papers should be handed over to me personally in my office during the period specified in paragraph (1) above.
  4. Under any circumstances nomination papers will not be accepted by me after the specified time.
  5. The notice received from the Assistant Registrar/Student Services is attached herewith.

   Online Learning Activities on Wednesdays

Dear Students,

Please be informed that the government has declared every Wednesday as a public holiday, with effect from 18.03.2026.

Accordingly, as decided by the University Administration, online learning activities will be conducted on Wednesdays, as scheduled in the academic timetable.

Therefore, you are kindly requested to contact the relevant lecturer regarding your scheduled lectures and make the necessary arrangements to participate in the online sessions.

   Course Registration for the Second Semester - Academic Year 2024/2025

Dear Students,

Please check whether you are currently registered for the courses you are following in the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year through the Information Management System (IMS).

Please note: If your registered subjects are already visible in the Information Management System (IMS), there is no need to re-register.

If you have not yet registered for your courses or subjects registered are not displayed, please complete the registration process on or before 20.03.2026, as approved by the Dean.

Kindly note that course registration will not be allowed for any reason after the above deadline.

   Online Subject Registration - 2024/2025 Academic Year - Second Semester

Students are hereby informed that the online registration of subjects for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025 should be completed on or before 07th September 2025. (The period for adding/dropping courses will be from 09th March 2026 to 15th March 2026).

A registration fee of Rs. 500/= should be paid, and the payment receipt must be kept safely for future reference.

Dates will be provided in due course for confirmation and recording in the approved subject in student Record books.
